Consul General Mr. Tang Guocai Delivers a Speech in the University

On February 27, Mr. Tang Guocai, Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Mumbai, visited SIES College of Arts, Science & Commerce in Mumbai and delivered a keynote speech in the Mohandas Gandhi memorial event there. Dr. Uma Maheswari, Principal of the College, Consul Wang Ang and Deputy Consul Sun Xianpu attended the event.


Mr. Tang briefed the audience on China's prevention and control efforts of COVID-19 Epidemic, emphasizing that the Chinese people have full confidence and capability to win the battle. He said China has made painstaking efforts and great sacrifices and contributes a lot to the mankind. He further said that COVID-19 is the common enemy of mankind, hoping India and the international community could make continuous efforts with China to fight against the epidemic and other transnational challenges.

Mr. Tang spoke highly of Mohandas Gandhi’s thoughts, saying the wisdom of Gandhi meets halfway with Chinese traditional philosophy. China and India should further explore the potential of their traditional civilization make joint efforts for a community of shared future.
